With the recent acquisition of Tile and Jiobit, Life360 has doubled in size to 500 employees and we are continuing to grow. The People and Talent team is looking for an experienced Compensation Manager who will help us create our shared compensation philosophy and approach across the three companies. In this role you will work closely with Talent Acquisition and Finance and will report into the People Operations teams.
Our ideal candidate has a strong compensation background with knowledge in base, variable, commission and equity compensation. They have built compensation structures and the infrastructure required to scale a fast growing company.
What You’ll Do
- Strategize with Leadership on a compensation philosophy that supports Life360’s growth trajectory and talent needs.
- Oversee Life360s compensation programs and ensure effectiveness in attracting and retaining talent.
- Ensure all programs and processes are scalable to support the business as it grows.
- Evaluate and implement compensation systems/tools and manage all vendors including systems and survey vendors.
- Work with People team and Managers to develop or update career ladders and job structures.
- Make pay recommendations on job offers, including reviewing requests for promotion and providing guidance on salary increase decisions.
- Conduct equity and wage compression analysis and conduct modeling to determine the financial impact of compensation related recommendations.
- Develop compensation structure for international employees.
- Actively lead all compensation surveys, perform survey job matching, and conduct ad-hoc benchmarking and market research as needed to ensure market competitiveness.
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team on job postings and offers.
- Educate employees and managers about our approach to compensation and help them to understand their total compensation.
- Regularly conduct pay analysis to ensure internal parity and all compensation programs are in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience working in compensation and total rewards, 2 in an influencer or leadership role.
- Analytical, problem-solver, and organized with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve, work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong collaborator and business partner. Able to navigate difficult conversations and influence outcomes.
- Experience in a high growth public company is a plus.
- Self-starter, team player, and a strong collaborator - no work is small.
- Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion, maintain confidentiality.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
