We are seeking a Director, HR Business Partners to play a lead role in supporting our rapidly expanding organization across the US & APAC regions. In this role, you will lead a team of HR Business Partners and Generalists (approximately 6 people). You will also closely partner with key leaders and their groups to align people and strategy as we scale our business and continue to drive our mission.
You will be an instrumental member of the People team in charting strategic growth opportunities, developing new strategies to continue making Lime a best in class workplace, and will interface directly with individuals at all levels across the organization, including our C-Team.
This is a remote position. The preferred locations for this position are Chicago, Austin, San Francisco, DC or Los Angeles. We also welcome applicants from other locations where Lime operates within the United States.
What you'll do:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for our HR Business Partners, particularly in the fields of professional development, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, organizational design and strategic programs (i.e. diversity)
- Lead the Engineering and Product client groups; being a trusted advisor on organizational design, change management, people strategy, and employee engagement initiatives
- Develop a roadmap that leads the HRBP team through rapid growth and ensure that the people, programs, and processes necessary to scale are in place
- Collaborate with senior organization leaders, Talent Acquisition and FP&A to develop and execute on the hiring plan, including workforce/succession planning, and attrition modeling
- Guide the HRBP team in developing and maintaining thoughtful and clear career ladders with competencies that will serve as a framework for hiring and promotions, in partnership with organization leaders
- Advise on strategic organizational design initiatives, as well as high-level, sensitive, or critical employee relations issues
- Project manage key HR programs globally
- Foster a diverse workplace that enables all employees to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of their professional goals and the organization's objectives
- Create and enhance scalable international expansion playbooks and best practices, leveraging automation and repeatable innovation when possible
- Drive measurable improvements to Lime’s employee experience by developing effective programming to help address any themes highlighted in our employee pulse surveys
About you:
- 8+ years HR leadership experience supporting Engineering / Product functions within a rapidly growing startup organization
- 5+ years of experience managing a team of HRBPs(S)
- PHRca, GPHR, or SHRM-(S)CP Certification a plus
- Breadth and depth in developing, leading and managing global strategic initiatives, e.g., diversity and inclusion, performance management, employee engagement, feedback and coaching, and organization design
- Strong communication skills: you’ve had experience partnering with Internal communications team on key People initiatives
- Inspirational role model in leveraging HR metrics and data to facilitate, influence and drive people and business decisions
- Proven experience being a trusted partner to leadership teams and a gracious mentor to your direct reports
- Strategic thinker who can also execute on tactical necessities—no task is too large or too small
- Tenacious disposition and aptitude for overcoming obstacles

In accordance with Colorado State Law, if the candidate selected for this job resides in Colorado, the anticipated minimum salary will be $138,000.00, plus bonus and equity (when eligible) as well as benefits. Exact salary will ultimately depend on the candidate’s qualifications. In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for a variable bonus based on a combination of management discretion and employee performance.
