about this role
As a lead investigator on People Practices team, you provide oversight and support for all investigations and ER consults handled by the People Practices team. You are an escalation point of contact and SME for all P&C BPs and cross-functional partners when urgent and complex employee relations related matters arise. You manage case assignments and provide guidance to the People Practices Specialists with investigations strategy, ER consultations, and determining recommendations for resolution. You work on ensuring Investigations Practices, related documents and processes are continuously updated and improved in collaboration with key stakeholders in alignment with IDEA and company core values.
a day in the life
- Manages team case load and assignments and provides coaching and guidance on investigations and Employee Relations consults requests being handled by People Practices Team.
- Lead high profile investigations and support with Employee Relations consultation
- In partnership with People Practices Manager and Legal, create strategy to provide ongoing education and ongoing development for the team related to investigations i.e. legislative updates, case studies, best practices, etc.
- Discern when to engage with legal partners and IDEA on complex Employee Relations matters and mitigating risk to our people, business and brand.
qualifications
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience with a focus on Employee Relations
- 3+ years experience in leading complex Workplace Investigations
- Extensive knowledge and experience providing consultation on sensitive ER matters.
- Strong communication skills both written & verbal
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent organizational skills and abilities, detail-oriented and committed to a high degree of accuracy
- Capable of effectively managing multiple demands from a variety of sources
- Builds relationships quickly; must be an effective team player
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to travel
- Role can be based remotely in the USA
