Occupier is in search of a Head of People to join the team as the first hire within this function. The Head of People will have the opportunity to build and create a best in class place to work and bring tremendous impact to the organization's growth and scale. You will report directly to the Co-Founder and partner closely with the entire leadership team to execute across talent acquisition, employee experience, culture and organizational strategy.

As our Head of People, you will own:

Talent Acquisition: You will define, build and execute the overall recruiting strategy, candidate experience across all business functions. Partner with internal hiring managers, external recruiters and successfully meet hiring goals

Onboarding: Build a structured and well organized onboarding process for both individual contributor and leadership functions. Instill a balance of organization and creativity to drive a smooth, engaging and informative first 30 days for new team members

Employee Experience: Spearhead the formalization of Occupier values and guiding principles, partner with the leaders to drive company culture initiatives, lead employee engagement and relations, drive company communication to facilitate alignment across all departments and teams

Talent Development: Design and implement effective performance management processes and systems to support a high performing culture, to include employee reviews, compensation planning, career development paths, training and compensation strategy

Employer Branding: Create candidate and employee feedback loops, lead application processes for various employer publication lists, own all external review platforms

Process/Documentation: Serve as point of contact with PEO, create first employee handbook, build out company guidelines (in lieu of policy), be knowledgeable of and ahead of employment compliance matters, develop structured offboarding process, drive all people operations processes through organized documentation and tech stack (as necessary)

This role is the first of its kind in a fast growing startup, so it’s likely that there may be additional projects and responsibilities that come up along the way. We are in search of an entrepreneurial, empathetic leader who is ready to jump in and start building with us on day one! The Head of People will be both tactical and strategic, with an ability to balance a wide variety of goals and initiatives. $140k-$160k
