The HR Information Systems Analyst will maintain and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the HR system, currently Workday, as well as its’ interfaces with other proprietary and third-party systems/solutions.
This role will support and maintain effective operation of the Human Resources system of record including Payroll, Compensation, Talent and Performance, Learning, Recruiting, HCM, Expenses, Reporting, integrations and security. This position will support ongoing process improvement activities to bring greater efficiency to HR as well as the entire company. This role is also responsible for performing system enhancements, system maintenance, system testing and upgrades, security, training, and related data integrity activities.
How you’ll impact Ingevity:
- Troubleshoots, analyzes, detects, identifies, and corrects Workday technical problems and deficiencies in a timely manner
- Responsible for ensuring data integrity within Workday including performing data audits and partnering with functional leads as applicable
- Assists with design and implementation of HR systems, document process and results
- Provides back-up support to the Lead HRIS Analyst
- Analyzes issues concerning system integrations affecting internal and external customer; this may include software issues, software changes, and/or new software packages, and collaborating with IT
- Monitors the system’s overall functionality and user accessibility and reports on break downs and system failures
- Reviews complete documentation of changes included in Semi Annual releases; including communications, Business Process updates, training, stakeholder documentation and narrative reviews for SOX
- Recommends innovative process/customer service improvements and solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policies, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
- Responsible for production support, including researching and resolving Workday problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Builds and generates simple/complex reports. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity globally in the Workday system by auditing and analyzing data.
- Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains clients on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users.
- Serves as a technical-functional liaison between HRIS and HR including gathering requirements
What you need to succeed:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of WorkDay (HRIS) including WorkDay HCM required; WorkDay Compensation, and WorkDay Recruiting preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with WorkDay HRIS required.
- Proficient in configuration changes, business process modification, and creating advanced reports within WorkDay, required.
- Understanding of SOX compliance and audit requirements related to HRIS functions
- Strong Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skillset including pivot tables, Vlookups, and formulas required
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discrete manner
- Ability to prioritize and communicate effectively with varying business functions
- Ability to support a global workforce
