Reporting to Brightly’s Chief People Officer, the Sr. Manager, Global Compensation & Benefits has global oversight of the compensation, benefits, rewards, and recognition policies for the organization. Working closely with the executive leadership team, HR leadership team, key functional business leaders, and their own team of specialists, this role will create proposals and implement plans that incentivize and retain Brightly’s global workforce while responsibly administering all programs and initiatives in a way that complies with internal policies and government regulations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Performance managing, coaching, communicating, and developing a small team of compensation and benefits specialists
- Design, implement, and administer global benefits and pension plans
- Track monthly costs and self-funded claims and provide annual recommendations for self-funded healthcare plans in the US
- Ensure the accuracy of all benefit enrolment in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information; i.e. new hires, open enrolment, and qualifying life events
- Tracks monthly benefits costs and claims; make recommendations on annual renewal
- Manage the development, implementation, and administration of compensation, incentivization, and reward programs
- Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommend changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives
- Defines and develops job grading and pay banding tools for consistent and equitable use across all roles throughout the organization
- Develops and showcases techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting compensation and budgetary data and metrics.
- Provides advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations
- Drives preparation of merit increases, incentive programs and associated budgeting
- Oversees participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved
- Acts as backup to Finance for review of sales commission payouts
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulation
- Coordinates outside vendors and wellness programs
- Responsible for consistent and regular communication across the organization regarding changes, updates, enhancements, and corrections with regards to all responsibilities associated with role.
Requirements
What You Need
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, human resources, or related field
- 7 years of progressive experience in the fields of employee compensation and benefits
- 3 years of direct people management experience
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) required
- Demonstrable experience creating programs and policies for a global workforce
- Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to benefits administration, base compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data
- Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative HR team member, eager to partner and coach HR counterparts and the business on benefits and compensation philosophies, trends, and best practices
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, particularly Excel Software
