A key member of the Total Rewards Team, this role will contribute to the development and execution of global benefits, recognition, and well-being programs to support the attraction and retention of our global diverse workforce. This role is accountable for alignment of practices and programs to total rewards principles and policies. This role is a subject matter expert who can partner/provide advice the HR team and business leaders to develop benefits and recognition related strategy and solutions relevant to regional and local business needs.
Accountabilities
- Accountable for the performance and results of benefits, well-being and recognition programs and vendors
- Executes Rewards business plan and contributes to the development of the Rewards and HR strategy
- Decisions are guided by global strategy and priorities
- Responsible for global policy and strategic implementation in the medium term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the department
- Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis
- Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate to and influence leadership
- Partner with Total Rewards leaders on overall Employee Well-being Strategy
- Coaches, develops, and leads direct reports in meeting performance objectives

Specific Accountabilities
- Develop market benchmarking methodology and conduct market benchmarking to assess competitiveness. Identify trends and assess relevance to our local business/talent pool.
- Network with vendors, consultants, and other companies to understand market trends and support Energizer's strategy development and execution.
- Partner with local HR to identify potential opportunities, understand market trend and challenges.
- Develop global benefits strategy in line with global principles to ensure that they meet both the long-term cost structure of the business and needs of the colleagues.
- Develop global local perquisites strategy to align with principles and balance a competitive total rewards package. Including tuition reimbursement program.
- Perform necessary global rewards analytics to help ROI on rewards $ and leverage on analytics to help the business make performance-driven decisions.
- Build a strong reward and recognition culture. Develop / update recognition program and/or toolkit and work with local HR to implement toolkit as appropriate.
- Provide guidance to local HR in developing local recognition programs and a strong recognition culture.
- Energizer Trust coordination of funding and vendor management.
- Partner with legal regarding severance policies. Outplacement policy ownership and vendor management. Participate on severance governance committee.
Administration:
- Keep local HR informed on design of new programs or changes to existing programs to meet talent needs while ensuring a cost-effective structure. Partner with global operations teams and in works council locations on negotiations.
- Manage vendor relationships (global and US vendors) and issues with global providers and ensure relevant processes are developed, communicated, and implemented.
- Ensure global policies / programs are aligned with relevant global trends.
- Facilitate review process with rewards governance committee.
- Coordinate with legal financial fiduciary responsibilities.
- Monitor plan performance and costs while partnering with Finance to ensure that appropriate budget estimates and accruals are in place.
- Manage budget related to areas of accountability.
Required Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of increasing responsibility and experience in leading global benefits and vendor management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nationwide benefit plan design, tax and benefits laws and regulations
- Strong project management, including change management skills
- Exceptional verbal and written presentation skills, including the development of materials for different audiences at all levels
- Ability to work across cultures
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Four-year bachelor’s degree with a major in human resources, finance, accounting or related fields
- Experience managing recognition programs
- Benefits certification (i.e. CEBS, CBP)
