Banzai is looking for an experienced People Executive to be the human resources leader for Banzai.
As the VP of People support cultural initiatives, performance management, talent acquisition, engagement and retention, learning and career development, and workforce planning. You will also lead initiatives regarding benefits, compensation, and People Systems.
Requirements
- Continuously improve Talent Density by recruiting and nurturing of exceptional team members, and by supporting or transitioning-out under-performing team members.
- Create the strategy, processes, and team for People department to support Banzai’s growth while maintaining Talent Density, and eliminating bad processes.
- Owning the processes, tools, and resources required to keep People Operations functions running smoothly.
- Partner with the leadership team to reinforce and support Banzai’s values and drive stronger cultural awareness and identity across the team.
- Own the tools, benefits, compensation alignment, org chart alignment, and other aspects of acquisition integration when Banzai acquires new companies.
- Make People department the “help desk” for solving issues related to benefits, compensation, and interpersonal issues and disputes.
- Provide a framework for making well-informed, equitable, and fair compensation decisions for new hires, promotions, and raises.
- Lead the new hire onboarding experience in partnership with cross-functional teams to create a seamless onboarding experience that delights new hires.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Oversee the compliance and regulatory functions of human resources including EEOC, 401(k), benefits, and labor law compliance across all the geographies Banzai operates.
- Be a support resource for managers to help them create stronger teams and support Banzai’s culture by reinforcing who we promote and reward, and who we manage out.
- Lead performance reviews that foster transparency, trust-building, continuous improvement, and excellence across all teams at Banzai
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
- Be a partner within the organization with our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts
Experience
- Has led or helped build People or HR team at a company on the journey from 100 to 500 employees
- Has managed the People and HR side of acquisition integrations including tools, systems, processes, compensation alignment, and cultural alignment
- Experience overseeing and building all core HR functions including compliance, recruiting, onboarding, and personnel issue resolution.
- Experience with remote workforce and extreme diversity across multiple geographies, cultures, and backgrounds.
