We are seeking a VP of People & Talent, with a startup mindset, to lead our People Operations teams with team members located in the US, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Greece, the UAE, and Egypt. This position is 100% remote, based in the US, and will report to the CEO.
As the VP of People & Talent you will...
- Oversee global People Operations and lead teams in the following areas: Talent Acquisition, HR, Communication & Culture
- Support team growth by promoting Tribal culture and core values (Passionate about creating value, Devoted to high standards, Proactively learning and growing, Human-centered, Candid, open and connected)
- Mentor, coach, and develop leaders in your area
- Work with internal stakeholders in setting and achieving annual plans with regards to team and company level performance OKRs
- Provide people centric thought leadership by researching and applying new and innovative people operations solutions to address and solve business needs
- Build strong relationships with all departmental leaders and support all tribe members by providing leadership, guidance and coaching to ensure they are fully engaged, feel valued, and are successful in delivering on their personal and business goals
- Lead the development and communication of Tribal’s talent development strategy to attract, engage and retain top talent
- Participate in the on-going development of Tribal compensation, benefits, and equity programs
- Partner with Legal and Compliance to develop and enhance company policies and procedures
- Partner with Finance to develop departmental budgets
- Partner with the Head of Talent Acquisition to create recruiting strategies to keep attracting the best talent
- Provide excellent customer service to all team members within Tribal.
- Oversight of US immigration and visa management activities
- Other duties as required by the business
Who You Are
- 15+ years of experience in people operations roles within dynamic and fast paced environments; start up and international (US, LATAM and MENA) experience strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in a leadership role leading Talent Acquisition of HR
- You have experience in recruitment and understand the importance of a strong & strategic area for a scaling startup
- You’re just as comfortable owning high level strategy as you are owning tactical projects and tasks
- You understand the importance of people operations as a strategic partner to the business and have proven ability maintaining this strategic relationship; expert level knowledge of people operations best practices
- Previous experience leading compensation and benefits programs at a global level preferred
- Ability to listen and empathize with people - strong communication skills required
- High attention to detail (as you´ll be working with sensitive data)
- Ability to work with ambiguity and a high level of autonomy
- Data and analytics oriented
